SYNOPSIS
Arlo, a dyslexic actor, has prepared a powerful monologue. He’s ready to crush his conservatory audition, that is, until he’s asked to perform a new monologue. Mixing the Greek myth of Chiron and the textures of off-off-Broadway theater, “All the Words on the Page” is an anxious tale about navigating an invisible disability.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Hunter Gause is an American filmmaker living in New York City. The Downtown Festival marks Hunter’s Roxy Cinema debut. His work has played at Palm Springs ShortFest, Davey Fest, and more. ALL THE WORDS ON THE PAGE Hunter’s debut short, was nominated for Best U.S. Short at the 30th Palm Springs ShortFest. Before filmmaking, he was an assistant theater director with New York Theatre Workshop, The Wooster Group, Big Dance Theater, Times Square Arts, and The Tank. Hunter holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Marymount Manhattan College and learned filmmaking by crewing on sets for Gummy and Simone Films. Growing up in the Cheeseman Park neighborhood of Denver, Colorado, he found school challenging due to his severe dyslexia.
