ABOUT
The Film-Makers’ Co-Op/New American Cinema Group, Inc. (NACG) was founded on July 14, 1961, as a membership cooperation by a group of 22 New York artists, including Jonas Mekas, Shirley Clarke, Ken and Flo Jacobs, Andy Warhol, and Jack Smith. It is the first non-profit art organization devoted to the collection and dissemination of experimental film and media art.
Stephanie LaCava is a New York City-based writer. She is the author of two novels, 2020’s The Superrationals (Semiotext(e)) and 2022’s I Fear My Pain Interests You (Verso), and Nymph (Verso) is forthcoming next year.
Daniel Arnold is a photographer based in New York City.
Alex Ross Perry was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in 1984. He attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and worked at Kim’s Video in Manhattan. He is the director of the films IMPOLEX, THE COLOR WHEEL, LISTEN UP PHILLIP, QUEEN OF EARTH, GOLDEN EXITS, HER SMELL, GHOST: Rite Here Rite Now and PAVEMENTS. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
