ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Julia Sipowicz is a Polish-Australian film director and screenwriter based in New York City. She is an honours graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and Television, where her thesis film Sour Times won two production fund awards. A selection of Julia’s narrative and documentary films has screened in underground and repertory cinema spaces in NYC. Julia’s work takes heavy influence from the genre of magical realism, focusing on themes of grief and human intimacy.
